The Grimoire

Here are a few examples of Invocations that you can use.  This is not the total list -  after all this game is about thinking outside the box.  Print this page out and hand to new players to help.

 

  • Fire & Invoke & Haste = Very fast fireball targetet on any player or Power Gem.

  • Fire & Move left = Fireball that can only attack the player on your left.

  • Sustain & Target Hand & + 1 = For the next two turns draw one extra card at the start of your turn

  • Earth & Shield & Bounce = A shield that when you are hit sends the attack back at the caster (You still take damage … maybe even breaking the shield… but so do they)

  • Water & Target Object & Trigger (Cast on a life stone) will make it so if your limestone is moved it casts Tsunami on the player next to you destroying their book

  • Fire + Sling + Trigger (cast on a book) = if someone tries to move your book it sends a fireball back at them. (They still get the book but they will think twice before stealing it)

  • Earth + Sling + sustain = “Earthquake” .. This spell destroys one life stone per turn. with a total of two stones destroyed. Slow + Fire +Sling = A fireball that you cast now .. but takes effect next turn

  • Target Hand + Power -1 = The next turn that player only draws 6 cards Target Hand + Power +1= cast on a Life Stone = Gives the player a extra card every turn as long as they own the power stone.
